♦ Grand arbre tropical de l'Asie du Sud-Est et de l'Afrique (malvacées), dont le fruit ovoïde, couvert d'une écorce de grosses épines dures, est comestible et savoureux, bien que malodorant. — Par méton. Le fruit de cet arbre. — On dit aussi DURION [ dyrjɔ̃ ].
